Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
Wearing the #27 jersey throughout the pre-season of his rookie campaign due to the number #2 jersey he wore in junior retired for Eddie Shore, Bobby Orr would ultimately choose the #4 jersey instead of the #5 offered by the Boston Bruins at the beginning of the 1966-67 season, and the rest as they say, is history. We have a “Number 4” framed display signed by the legendary Bobby Orr. At approx 12” x 14” (exposed), a “Number 4” print with career stats is matted above, with an image of “The Goal”, a name plaque and two pins inserted below. Orr has added a gorgeous silver paint pen signature over the upper left, with the signature flawless. Framed to full dimensions of approx 21” x 27”, a hologram from GNR numbered “91049” has been added to the lower left of the print, with a matching COA to accompany.
