Sure to garner interest is this batch of classic collectibles, with some nifty aspects to inform you of. Although the Bobby Orr rookie card is not present, over 100 Topps cards from 1966-67 carry appeal, with minimal creases to report (15, including 63-Esposito and 72-Cournoyer) and VG (and mostly) VG+ and VG-EX examples dominating, with a smaller percentage of EXs to come upon. A 2nd Series checklist is creased and marked, while cards joining Orr, 112-Hull and the #66 checklist not in the stack are mostly commons; 18, 19, 25, 30, 32, 33, 34, 37, 38, 46-Henderson, 49, 55, 59-Pilote, 88, 96 and 118-Canadiens Team. ...Eight crease-free ’67-68 cards are EX or in the vicinity and include 38-Sather RC, 62-Pilote and 76-Bower and segue into an interesting group of ’68-69 O-Pee-Chees. They too look to have had but one owner and were not even collated. We’ve left all the original (removable) wax on several examples and after sorting them can tell of 102 different, all of them 1st Series pack pulls. Very cool is the 1st Series #121 checklist, with “X”s in all boxes except for the cards not present – get it – you’ll be getting a good start to a 1st Series set, with the checklist telling of the missing cards. Not so cool is the notorious/aggravating miscut and diamond cut of the (crease-free) Bobby Orr card (otherwise VG-EX), but neat is that its not-straight bottom edge matches up with the similar one of the checklist, revealing that they were side-by-side on a sheet. As for the stack of cards, diamond cuts and miscuts affect a majority but hardly a crease is observed. If we say otherwise EX is the average, we believe you’ll be pleased with your winnings. A Mickey Redmond RC, Howe, Esposito, 1-Harvey and other stars and Hall of Famers are present, as is an unmarked (VG) 2nd Series checklist, with Parent RC, Hull, Sawchuk, Sanderson, Cournoyer and Bower most notable among the need'um group. We’re not done, swell bonuses are 21 Canadiens team-issued black and white postcards from the mid-'60s; three have considerable pencil writing on the back (Blake, Hodge, Roberts), but the others are in crease-free collectible condition and mostly have “thin” blue facsimile autographs on the front. Cournoyer, Beliveau, Richard and Worsley are highlights. Told you there was some neat stuff!
