Graded contributors to this 1967-68 Topps gathering are led condition-wise by a BVG 8.5 NM-MT+ example of 81-Marcel Pronovost and PSA NM-MT 8s of 51-Delvecchio and 104-Talbot, while 8s with (OC) qualifiers are 9-Vadnais RC, 60-Nesterenko and 107-Watson RC. Completing the PSA-slabbed lineup are four NM 7s; 25-Goyette, 41-D. Smith, 80-Hillman and 83-Armstrong. Three second-year Orr cards key the raw contingent, with the regular (#92) card off-centered and VG with a classic 3/4” production wrinkle just to the right of Bobby’s ear. With small light creasing in the “STAR” region and VG+ is the All-Star example, while a subtle back crease renders 118-Calder Trophy similar. Best among the other keys/stars at EX or EX+ are 43-Howe and 32-Esposito, with both Hull cards VG+ and 3-Lemaire (VG-EX) leading the rookie cards. Howe All-Star and Sanderson and Vachon RCs are VG or just a tad lower (G+). The checklists are partially marked, with #120 superior to #66 (creases, small stain). Amid the rest of the pieced-together assembly there are some sub-VG cards but you can anticipate mostly VG, VG+ and VG-EX entries, along with 20-or-so at EX to EX-MT, notably 16-Horton (EX (OC)) and 64-Mikita Triple (EX+). Another interesting offering from our consignor’s decades-long project.
