Founded in the 1950s as the Capitol Wrestling Corporation and later known famously as the WWF, the WWE provides the largest wrestling promotion in the world, holding over 450 live events a year, available to 800 million homes worldwide in 28 languages. This lot contains a great vintage wrestling collection that includes 1980s LJN and Grand & Toy figures (34) including a Ted DiBiase still in the original packaging (1988 series), approx 200 cards including 55 1985 O-Pee-Chee with a Randy Savage rookie card (high grade, with just very light touches to the top corners), 74 1985 second series cards, 53 1990 Classic cards and a few others, approx 85 1970s/80 magazines (moderate to heavier wear to the group), 3 WCW colouring books (unused), a WrestleMania 8 program and press packet, a vintage 1950s Little Beaver midget wrestler signed photo (7 1/2" x 10 1/2" with creases and wear), and a 1985 second series O-Pee-Chee card box (complete and folded, with light wear and minor staining). The figurines include from the original 1984-87 LJN release Mean Gene Okerlund, Big John Studd, Bret "Hitman" Hart (purple tights), Hulk Hogan, Junkyard Dog (no chains), Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka, Jimmy Hart, Hillbilly Jim (no hat), Jake the Snake, King Harley Race w/crown, Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper (red boots), Magnificent Muraco, Hercules Hernandez, "Macho Man" Randy Savage, Corporal Kirchner, Koko B Ware, Elizabeth, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, Outback Jack (no hat), Captain Lou Albano, Ted Arcidi, Tito Santana, and a few others, and from the 1989 Grand & Toy series we have rare examples for the Big Boss Man and "Ravishing" Rick Rude, along with a pair of championship belts. The majority of the figures show moderate wear including to the paint, with some exhibiting heavier wear but no damage.
