Joining the NHL in 1971 as a highly-touted rookie with unlimited potential, and finally exiting the sport two decades later as one of it’s all-time greatest practitioners, Guy Lafleur remains one of the most venerated players in history, and stands atop all Montreal Canadiens scorers with 1,246 career points. From the twilight of his HOF career, we have a stick used by the superstar during his time with the New York Rangers or Quebec Nordiques in the late-1980s/early-1990s. The solid blue Chimo model has "Lafleur G. 10" below the knob (with “10” handwritten), with a date stamped over the lower underside of the shaft, but it’s not decipherable. The original black tape over the blade and white over the handle and knob is in place. The stick shows light to moderate use with wear to the underside of the blade, with the handle tape somewhat frayed. There is also some wear to the shaft including marks and chipping to the finish, with Guy adding a black marker signature and personalization to the front side heel, with the signature heavily rubbed and worn.
