Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
The traditional superstar athlete, sporting considerable skills matched by an intimidating physique and movie star appearance, Bobby Hull earned the nickname The Golden Jet for his flowing blond hair and legendary speed, and we offer a collection of signed items totaling five ready for take off, including a stick, Black Hawks jersey, skates and framed photos (2). First, the jersey was produced by CCM with “XL” sizing and tackle twill team crest and numbers, with Hull placing a black marker signature to the middle of the reverse “9”, with some minor bleeding to the signature occurring.
Next, the stick is a generic 1960s Victoriaville model that has been taped and used by an unknown player, with Hull adding a large black marker signature to the front side blade along with his induction year (the stick exhibits moderate use). This is followed by the skates, with the 1960s CCM signature models in gorgeous unused condition, with Bobby signing the right skate in silver along with his Golden Jet moniker, with the signature standing out against the black background beautifully. The photos include a vintage black and white 8” x 10” image signed in silver with induction year listed, framed to slightly larger dimensions, along with a 1960s full colour newsprint page with Hull and Bower image with both signing in black marker, matted and framed to 16” x 19”.
