A Stanley Cup champion with the Montreal Canadiens in each of the four seasons he captained the iconic squad, Yvan Cournoyer spent his entire HOF career with the Habs, and we offer a great collection of items signed by The Roadrunner totaling eight and including a jersey, framed photos and sticks (one of the sticks has been team-signed by the 1968-69 Canadiens). First, the jersey is a 2009 Canadiens centennial specimen with tackle twill team crest and numbers, with Yvan signing the reverse “2” in white paint pen. This is followed by 1950s Biltrite Special skates, with the right skate signed in silver, with his HOF year added, signed and framed 1976-77 team issued (11” x 14”) and modern photos (11” x 13”), and a signed and framed Sports Weekend newsprint picture (16” x 21”). The sticks include generic Sher-Wood and Canadian Pro models (the Sher-Wood has been taped and used by an unknown player), signed by Cournoyer in black marker, and a youth’s size CCM Custom Pro Cournoyer model stick team-signed by 17 members of the 1968-69 Habs in ballpoint including Beliveau, Blake, Harris, Ferguson, Laperriere, Wakely, G. Tremblay, Harper, Duff, Vachon and others, with many of the signatures heavily faded and hard to decipher.
