Villeneuve’s rise to the top of the F1 world in the late-1990s saw him enjoy tremendous success with the 1996 & 1997 Williams Renault and the 1998 Winfield Williams teams. Several items he wore during races in this era are included in this impressive collection. Included is a dual-signed pair of Sparco race-worn boots showing good wear (from 1996 or 1997 season), a dual-signed pair of Sparco race-used gloves with Rothmans logo (from 1996 or 1997 season) and a dual-signed pair of Sparco race-used gloves (no logos). Signed race-worn visors includes; two Castrol Renault examples with handwritten annotations on their interiors “J.V. Imola 97 Friday” and “J.V. Melbourne ’97 practice + quali – P1”; an orange-tinted signed Winfield Castrol exhibiting race wear, a tinted signed Winfield Castrol with a remaining tear-off and sticker on its back with text “JV Nurburgring practice c-‘98” and a similar one with sticker on its back with text “J.V. Argentina ’98 Friday”. Also included are six pieces of Nomex racing underwear worn by Jacques during his career including a Stand 21 balaclava, a signed long sleeve Stand 21 shirt, a signed full body Puma example, a short sleeves full body Sparco example, a pair of Sparco pants and a pair of Puma socks. Completing the collection is a vintage Sparco bag embroidered with “Jacques Villeneuve”. Originating from Jacques’ personal collection, a signed LOA will accompany.
