Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2021
Joining once again, in collaboration with the Montreal Canadiens, Classic Auctions is pleased to offer a large collection of artifacts and memorabilia from the storied club's comprehensive archives. A number of historic specimens direct from the famous team including unique displays that were once marvelously displayed in the hallowed Montreal Forum and later at the Bell Centre are available, with an endless array of legendary and monumental players featured that all proudly once donned the sacred jersey of the mighty Montreal Canadiens.
This large print has been matted and features a metallic plate with a description and the date of the event noted. There is some scuffing and scratches on the front side, which is understandable since it was on display in hockey’s revered temple. The frame does have a mild gap at the bottom left corner as well. On the back, look for three removable narrow pieces of plastic which have been affixed by screws to assist in the mounting of the piece. The top piece does have some rubber adhesive residue on it, but this should in no way take away from your enjoyment of this unique item. The backing paper is in good condition as well, with one tear, and there are two holes where screws once were. Direct from the archives of the Montreal Canadiens, this framed display was likely displayed at the Molson Centre/Bell Centre. An LOA from Classic Auctions will be included.
