Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021

Displayed and enjoyed back in the day are these classic collectibles, with evidence of that in the light background toning of the plastic coins and the nail holes at the top of each team shield. An inspection reveals that between four and nine coins per team (and 40 altogether) were once taped or glued into place but with all coins removable, revealing tape/glue stains to both coins and shields. A moot point if you’ll be looking to display them yourself, with the fragile shields having survived decently; the Bruins, Black Hawks, Red Wings and Canadiens entries have but two to four small edge cracks, (mostly at the tips as is often seen), with one-inch cracks joining similar edge cracks in the Maple Leafs and Rangers and examples. Waviness to the picture inserts, along with edge chips in two Detroit (common) coins, is also notable but all-in-all, an excellent chance at an instant collection, with a few possibilities coming to mind.
