One of the most popular European comics of the 20th century and first appearing in Le Petit Vingtième (The Little Twentieth) in 1929, a youth supplement to the Belgian newspaper Le Vingtième Siècle, The Adventures of Tintin has been published in more than 70 languages with sales of more than 200 million copies, and has been adapted for radio, television, theatre and film. Following the exploits of youthful Belgian reporter and adventurer Tintin and his trusty canine companion Snowy, well-structured plots encompassing numerous themes enthralled readers, with both satire and cultural commentary exploited by creator Herge (Georges Remi). This collection of Tintin items includes a number of desirable keepsakes and collectibles, all of which feature the French language.
