First gaining experience in his home nation with VSV EC, Michael Grabner spent numerous seasons in the AHL and WHL before making his NHL debut in 2009-10. From his lone season in Toronto and acquired directly from the Leafs, this photo-matched jersey was worn by the Austrian native in the Hockey Hall of Fame Game, held on Nov 6, 2015, vs Detroit, where he registered just over 10 minutes of ice time. A size “56” label is sewn to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with the club’s familiar Leafs team crest with embroidered detailing, “40” appears over the sleeves and verso in single white twill, with matching vintage-style alternate crests over each shoulder. The Hall of Fame Game patch resides over the right breast, with a price tag from the Leafs team store still attached to the collar. Worn for a single contest, the jersey exhibits light wear with no obtrusive marks. Getty Image #49681504 (Hockey Hall of Fame Game, Nov 6, 2015) has been matched to the exact shape and placement of the tie string affixed to the collar, with the extended threading at the top of the alternate crest over the left shoulder also visible. The team patch numbered “F-0195” is affixed to the inside hem, with a matching COA to accompany from the Leafs.
