A Stanley Cup champion with Los Angeles in 2011-12, netminder Jonathan Bernier has guarded the crease of five different NHL clubs including the Toronto Maple Leafs, from 2013 to 2016. Acquired directly from the Leafs, this jersey was worn by the Laval native while serving as back-up during the 2-1 overtime loss to Detroit at the Hockey Hall of Fame Game, held on Nov 6, 2015. “Goalie Style” and size “58” labels are sewn to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with the club’s familiar Leafs team crest with embroidered detailing, “45” appears over the sleeves and verso in single white twill, with matching vintage-style alternate crests over each shoulder. The Hall of Fame Game patch resides over the right breast, with a price tag from the Leafs team store still attached to the collar. Worn as back-up in the match, the jersey exhibits a lone small faint burn mark between the white striping bands on the lower right sleeve. The team patch denoting the garment as an “Official Game-Worn Jersey” is affixed to the inside hem and numbered “F-0194”, with a matching COA to accompany from the Leafs.
