Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021

So much to love about Kings great Bernie Nicholls’ photo-matched 1986-87 game-worn jersey. The 20th Anniversary Patch is on the left sleeve and this beauty with the CCM* patch on the rear hem also sports the alternate captain’s A, which was added to the left breast later in the season and on the playoffs and speaks to the high-scoring forward’s leadership role in L.A. Worn during the regular season and the 1987 playoffs, it is photo-matched to digital photos from Game 4 of the Kings’ first-round loss to Edmonton by the threading that has let go on the lower portion of the white trim on the upper back to the left of the N of "Nicholls" just above the nameplate. And did we mention the team repairs, including three big fabric-patched sewing fixes on the sleeves and rear tail? Tagging in the collar is gone and this Nicholls gamer measures about a size 50.
The left sleeve features a team repair with a huge rectangular fabric patch. There are a few team repairs on the right rear tail, including one with a big rectangular fabric patch inside. The right cuff shows part of the big fabric patch sewn in by Kings equipment staff, and there are a couple more sewing fixes adjacent with five more on the left cuff. More game wear shows in board burns and black marks on the sleeves and tails, a black mark on the front right shoulder
Another digital photo shows the correct placement of the 20th anniversary patch on the left sleeve and the correct overlaying of the yellow "9" above the white "9" and the space of the white visible in all portions of the number.
