Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2021
Selected in the first round of the 1979 NHL Draft, Michel Goulet made his NHL debut for Quebec in 1979-80 and spent almost a dozen seasons with the Nordiques. Additional seasons would be spent with Chicago, with the HOFer securing over 1,100 career points. This stick was used by Goulet during the mid-to-late-1980s with Quebec, with this specific type of model seeing use in at least three seasons, from 1984 to 1987. A Titan TPM2020 model with “M. Goulet” stamped to the upper shaft (with number “16” handwritten twice), the original black tape remains on the blade and handle. Heavy game-use is exhibited with numerous marks and wear throughout including both blue and red paint transfer. We should also note that use by someone after Goulet appears likely, with wear to the underside of the blade (from possible street use) and the name “Andrew” handwritten along the underside near the top of the shaft.
