Voted by fans as the all-time greatest team during the NHL centennial celebrations in 2017, the Edmonton Oilers would conclude the 1984-85 season in second place behind Philadelphia, and would meet the Flyers in the Stanley Cup finals. The series would go five games, with the Broad Street Bullies only managing a single victory. This would be the Oilers second-consecutive Stanley Cup championship. This lot offers a desirable collection of Edmonton Oilers ticket stubs from the 1984-85 season totaling 27, with The Great One factoring heavily in most contests. Wayne would account for 66 points including 25 goals and 41 assists in all 27 games, with 3 2-goals games along with a pair of hat tricks. This also includes 4 3-point games, 5 4-point games, 2 5-point games (Nov 24 and Dec 5) and even a 6-point game (Dec 29). Other important tickets include Glenn Anderson’s and Jari Kurri’s 300th game and Kurri’s 400th point (Oct 30), Mark Messier’s 400th point (Nov 2), Kevin Lowe’s 400th game (Nov 14), Kevin Lowe’s 200th point (Feb 23), Paul Coffey’s 300th assist (Feb 27), and Jari Kurri’s 500th point (Mar 13). The majority of the ticket stubs remain in pleasing condition with a rough torn edge, with just light handling wear, with the Jan 16 and Jan 26 stubs showing creasing. A number of the stubs also have a piece of clear tape added.
