The highest-scoring left winger in NHL history upon his retirement in 2006, Luc Robitaille is a veteran of over 1,000 games, with eight All-Star appearances made along with a trio of Stanley Cup championships won as both a player and executive. This signed and photo-matched Los Angeles Kings alternate captain’s jersey was worn by the superstar in 1993-94, the final season of his first stint in Tinseltown. A Maska Ultrafil label and size “54” fly tag are affixed to the collar, with NHL crests over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with the classic Kings’ team crest with embroidered detailing, the vintage black V-neck has been accented with dual-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Robitaille” across the upper reverse in single white twill. Robitaille has signed the reverse in silver just above the numbers, with the signature blending heavily into the background material. The team patch is sewn to the inside hem, and it denotes the jersey as a “Set 1” specimen.
Nice game-use is exhibited on the desirable garment, with considerable wear to the material over the front and sleeves including scrapes, burns and marks, with heavy pilling to areas of the interior including the sleeves. There are also team repairs, with material-backed examples on the lower front and over each sleeve. The fight strap also shows signs of repeated washings. An included numeric image has been matched to the marks and loose threads on the "20" on the right sleeve.
