Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2021
First awarded in 1924 to the “Pembroke Peach”, four-time Stanley Cup champion Frank Nighbor, the Hart Memorial Trophy is awarded annually to the NHL player “judged most valuable to his team". Legendary superstar Jean Beliveau secured a pair of Hart trophies throughout his HOF career, including on the strength of 78 points in 1964, with this desirable notation added to the offered limited-edition Montreal Canadiens captain’s jersey signed by Le Gros Bill. Produced by Reebok with “XL” sizing along with a tackle twill team crest and numbers, Jean has signed the reverse number in white, adding “MVP-1964” beneath, with both the signature and notation displaying well. A "Jean Beliveau Authentic" hologram has been affixed above the signature, with “53/444” handwritten within the base of the reverse “4” to show the edition is limited.
