Spending over a dozen seasons in Tampa Bay which included four NHL All-Star Game appearances coupled with the Maurice “Rocket” Richard Trophy in 2007, Vincent Lecavalier was selected first overall by the Lightning in 1998, and had his number retired by the club in 2018. This signed Lightning alternate captain’s jersey was worn by the superstar in 2007-08 - a season that witnessed 92 points including 40 goals in 82 games – and was originally presented to Jean Beliveau to be auctioned off in Classic Auctions’ Jean Beliveau Auction held in 2008. A CCM label with “58” sizing is affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with an attractive Lightning team crest with embroidered detailing, the black V-neck has been accented with tri-colour tackle twill chest, sleeve and verso numbers with “Lecavalier” across the affixed nameplate in single white twill. There is also the team patch sewn to the inside hem. A signed LOA from Vincent Lecavalier will accompany.
We should note the handwritten inscription on the fight strap of “Game Worn for Jean Beliveau” in black marker, with Vincent adding an attractive thin dark ink signature to the reverse number. The jersey itself shows nice game-use with marks and burns over each sleeve.
