Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/24/2021
An extremely well-rounded defenceman, Andrei Markov spent over a decade and a half in Quebec with Montreal, while also representing his native Russia religiously throughout his career. This lot includes a signed stick used by the star blueliner in the mid-to-late-2000s, along with signed Habs home and away jerseys. First, the stick is an Easton SE16 model with “Markov” and “79” factory graphics, with the original red tape over the handle and remnants of the original black tape over the blade. Markov has added a thin silver ink signature to the front side blade with no issues, with the stick itself showing nice game-use with wear to the underside of the blade and marks to the lower shaft. The jerseys were produced by Reebok with tackle twill team crests and numbers, with the road example featuring the 2009 NHL All-Star Game and Habs 100th anniversary crests. Each has been signed on the reverse numbers, with the blue ink signature on the road jersey bleeding into the background material.
