A member of four consecutive Stanley Cup championships with the Montreal Canadiens from 1976 to 1979, Yvon Lambert scored the memorable winning goal in overtime of game seven of the 1979 Stanley Cup Semi-Finals against the Boston Bruins. The Drummondville native spent nearly his entire NHL career with the Habs, with just a single season in Buffalo. This Stanley Cup championship trophy was presented to Lambert for his status as a 1978 Stanley Cup champion. Standing a majestic 13” and mounted to a wooden base with green felt underside, the names of the men who made it happen are engraved in three rows beneath the team executives, with “Le Club de Hockey Canadien” and “1977-78” engraved above. A signed LOA from Yvon Lambert will accompany.
The trophy exhibits heavy surface wear and tarnishing throughout including a large area over the engraved text, with some additional chipping to the base, with a large piece broken off. There are also a few small surface dents visible.
