Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021

Menacing the opposition with forays from his crease to intercept advancing players, Ron Hextall exhibited early that he wasn’t one to be messed with, with the superstar netminder especially skilled at both the physical aspect of the game and his controlled handling of the puck. This signed stick was used by the Brandon native in 1991-92, the final season of his first stint in the City of Brotherly Love with the Flyers. A Sher-Wood PMPG 530 model with “Hextall” and “27” stamped to the shaft, the original black tape remains on the blade and white tape on the upper shaft and knob. A date stamp of “12 FEV 1992” is visible on the underside of the shaft, with Hextall adding a black marker signature over the handle. Heavy game-use is shown on the vintage lumber, with numerous dents to the paddle and wear to the blade including a break that has been rectified with white tape, with the blade still currently loose. There is also some random beige paint on the upper paddle, and red paint transfer over the handle and taped upper shaft section.
