Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Assembling the team throughout the late-1940s and early-1950s that would become the greatest dynasty in NHL history, the Montreal Canadiens would see action in 49 playoff games throughout their consecutive Stanley Cup run from 1956 to 1960, losing only 9 contests including a mere 2 at home. Only twelve players were a part of each championship squad including Jacques Plante, Maurice Richard and Jean Beliveau. Honouring the epic 1950s dynasty, we have a single-signed puck collection featuring 11 members including deceased HOFers Rocket Richard (D.2000), Boom Boom Geoffrion (D.2006), Tom Johnson (D.2007) and the Pocket Rocket (D.2020), along with Jean-Guy Talbot, Marcel Bonin, Junior Langlois, Ab McDonald (D.2018), Phil Goyette, Don Marshall and Andre Pronovost. Each puck features a Canadiens logo, with each signed in silver (except the Rocket), with most adding their Cup totals. Displaying well with no issues for the signatures, the majority of the pucks have a hologram over the reverse. An LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
