Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/21/2020
The only player in NHL history to combine over 600 goals with 2,000 penalty minutes, Brendan Shanahan is a veteran of over 1,500 NHL contests, with the majority of his HOF career spent in Motor City. The three-time Stanley Cup champion would also represent Canada at numerous tournaments including the Winter Olympics. This Red Wings alternate captain’s jersey was worn by the Etobicoke native during the 2003-04 Stanley Cup playoffs. A label with “56” sizing is affixed to the collar with “1” stenciled above, with KOHO and NHL crests over the reverse neckline and bottom hem respectively. Sporting the classic winged-wheel team crest with embroidered detailing, “14” appears over the sleeves and verso in single white twill, with “Shanahan” across the upper reverse in matching material. The “Playoff Set” team patch resides on the inside hem, with the Hockeytown hologram numbered “35596” affixed to the collar matching the accompanying COA from the Red Wings.
