A trio of early Montreal Canadiens players headlines this encapsulated C57 six-pack, with the earliest of them all, Jack Laviolette, leading in the “fame” category. For the uninformed/non-historians in the audience – you’re not alone(!), he was who John Ambrose O’Brien asked to assemble the very first edition of the Canadiens in 1909. Graded PR 1 with peripheral paper loss front and back, the Laviolette card is joined by those of fellow Canadiens #7-G. Dellaire (Hector Dallaire)(GOOD 2) and 8-George “Skinner” Poulin (GOOD+ 2.5). Also in the mix are 10-Steve Vair (FR 1.5), 35-Carl Kendall RC (GOOD 2) and 36-Jack Fournier RC (PR 1). Difficult to locate in any condition are C57s, with this batch helping to knock off half a dozen from your list.
