Representing Russia continuously for two decades which included winning numerous gold medals, Ilya Kovalchuk made his NHL debut with the Atlanta Thrashers in 2001-02 and spent the majority of his career in Georgia. This stick was used by the star during the earlier part of his career in the early-to-mid-2000s, with this specific type of model used in the NHL in 2003-04 and 2005-06 (Kovalchuk spent 2004-05 with Ak Bars Kazan). The Innovative 1100 model sports “I Kovalchuk” factory graphics, with the original white tape over the blade and black on the handle. There is also a worn factory code along the underside. Nice game-use is exhibited with marks to the blade and wear to the underside, with some additional wear and marks to the shaft including a few small areas that have a sticky residue.
