Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/24/2021
This unique Bobby Orr jersey dates from a 1985 Oldtimers game at Maple Leaf Gardens. The retired Orr’s injury-ravaged knees prevented his on-ice participation in the meeting between members of Team Canada 1972 and “Team All-Stars”, who Bobby coached. Orr wore this jersey at some point at this entertaining encounter between some of the greatest players of their day. Rawlings fly tag in the neck has “4 Orr” handwritten on it in black ink. Orr’s All-Stars, featuring HOFers Gordie Howe and Norm Ullman, skated to a 6-5 win. “Orr” is sewn in white twill on a red nameplate and “4” on the back and stars on each shoulder are also sewn-on white twill.
The “All Stars” logo on the front is heat screened white vinyl. Embroidered Molson sponsor’s patch is sewn on the left breast. Red felt Rawlings logo is heat pressed onto the right rear hem.
