Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Named the greatest player in Toronto Maple Leafs franchise history as part of the club’s centennial celebrations in 2016, Dave Keon spent fifteen glorious seasons with the blue and white, earning selection to eight All-Star Games while winning four Stanley Cup championships. This stick was used by the HOF superstar during his penultimate season in Ontario, in 1973-74. A Sher-Wood Pattern Made PMP model, “D Keon” and “14” are stamped to the upper shaft, with both striping accents in place and a date stamp of “10 Sep 1973” near the heel section. The original black tape on the handle and knob is intact, with the blade tape removed, with a small business card with Keon’s blue marker signature taped to the toe section of the blade.
Remaining completely solid, the stick exhibits moderate to heavier surface wear throughout, with marks to the lower shaft and blade.
