Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
The signatures of some of the greatest players in NHL history are offered, including the iconic superstar known as Mr Hockey, as well as the man with the most Stanley Cup championships, Jean Beliveau. Included, we have a signed program honouring Gordie Howe, five signed pucks and a trio of signed hockey cards, with each signer an honoured member of the Hall of Fame. First, the signed pucks include Ted Kennedy (original 1962-64 Art Ross Toronto Maple Leafs puck), Marcel Dionne (Kings puck with “HOF 92” inscription), Andy Bathgate (NYR puck with “H.O.F. 78” added) and Gilbert Perreault (Sabres puck), with the final puck dual-signed by the best brother combo in history, the Richards (Habs puck). The cards include a 1971-72 Beliveau retirement card (#263) signed in gold, a 1992 Pro Set “Mr Hockey” card signed by Howe in black and an Oshawa Generals Eric Lindros card also signed in black. Lastly, the 1970 program is 6” x 10” and pictures Howe on the cover, and he’s added a beautiful ballpoint signature (two others have signed as well). The signatures in the collection display beautifully with no issues to note, with heavy wear to the Leafs Original Six puck signed by Kennedy (numerous gouges and chips), and additional wear to the Beliveau retirement card and Howe program.
