Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Joining Major League Baseball as an expansion club in 1977, the Toronto Blue Jays were originally owned by the Labatt Brewing Company, and played their home games at Exhibition Stadium before moving to the SkyDome upon its opening in 1989 (currently the Rogers Centre). The Jays have won a pair of consecutive World Series championships, in 1992 and 1993. Hailing from the inaugural season in 1977, we have a ball team-signed by the first-season Blue Jays. A souvenir Blue Jays ball with stamped team logo, 28 have signed in ballpoint, including Alan Ashby, Bob Bailor, Ron Fairly, Pete Vukovich, Jim Clancy, Rick Cerone, Roy Hartsfield (coaching staff) and others. The signatures display well with some even fading throughout, with light toning to the ball. An LOA from JSA will accompany.
