One of the NHL’s most talented superstars throughout his nine seasons on Long Island, John Tavares rejected higher paying offers when he signed with his hometown Maple Leafs in the summer of 2018. This photo-matched Leafs jersey was worn by the superstar in 2018-19. An Adidas band with “56” sizing resides over the inner collar, with NHL and Adidas crests over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Featuring a vintage style Leafs team crest with “Toronto Maple Leafs” embroidered, “91” appears over the sleeves and verso in oversized single white twill, with “Tavares” across the affixed nameplate in matching material. “2” has also been handwritten over the fight strap to denote second set. Exhibiting light to moderate game-use, there are dark marks over the team crest and left sleeve including washed-out examples. Getty Image #1092779034 (Jan 10, 2019) has been matched to the mark over the “9” of “91” over the right sleeve, while Getty Image #1124601622 (Jan 23, 2019) has been matched to the distinct pattern of marks over the team crest. Also, Getty Image #1132411145 (Feb 25, 2019) has been matched to the distinct pattern of marks over the team crest, as well as to marks within the white band on the left sleeve. The team patch numbered “I0123” is situated over the inside hem, with a matching COA to accompany from the Leafs, along with an 8” x 10” photo showing Tavares wearing this jersey.
