Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
An example of one of the most coveted postwar hockey rookie cards is available here, with Bobby Orr's 1966-67 Topps rookie encapsulated by Beckett and graded 2 GOOD. We deem this specimen as an attractive GOOD card, given that no creases affect the image of the Parry Sound, Ontario native who would go on to revolutionize the way blueliners played the game, although none would play it at or even near the level of Bobby. We do spot some creasing but it's peripheral, notably in the mid and upper regions of the left border, with visible corner and edge wear also present. Some light soiling and surface wear affect the reverse but all-in-all, surely acceptable to a certain percentage of the collecting world - ah, to own a Bobby Orr rookie card!
A few very light subtle scratches to the Beckett holder are to mention.
