A standout with the powerful Dynamo Moscow squad during the late-1980s/early-1990s, Alexei Kovalev spent 18 seasons in the NHL, making his debut with the New York Rangers in 1992-93. The four-time NHL All-Star would also win a Stanley Cup with the Blueshirts upon his first stint with the club, in 1994. From his second stint on Broadway, we have a New York Rangers “Lady Liberty” third jersey worn by the Russian superstar in 2003-04. A label with “58” sizing sits affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and KOHO crests gracing the bottom hem and back necklines respectively. Utilizing a gorgeous textured Statue of Liberty team crest with embroidered detailing, the navy V-neck has been embellished with “27” in layered drop-shadow tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with matching shield crests over each shoulder. The fight strap has also been cut. A patch from MeiGray numbered “B06195” has been placed on the inside hem, and according to their population report, the garment is a "Third Set 1" example. Comes with a team LOA.
Exhibiting light to moderate game use, there are board burns over the sleeves and lower right front, with dark marks over each sleeve. There is also a pair of small holes over the left elbow resulting from said board burns.
