Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2020
Much harder to locate when compared to the first series issued in 1960-61, the York Peanut Butter tumblers set produced in 1961-62 is complete at 11, and comprised of players from just the two Canadian squads. This collection of 6 is highlighted by the extremely rare and highly desirable Jean-Guy Talbot glass. At approx 4 ¾” in height, each tumbler features dual imagery, along with a cartoon referee with listed infraction. Along with the aforementioned Talbot, examples are present for Gordie Howe, Alex Delvecchio, Tim Horton, Dick Duff and Jean Beliveau. The Howe, Beliveau and Duff tumblers are flawless, while the Horton and Delvecchio each sport a minor scratch. The Talbot and Horton also have a very small and barely noticeable chip on the inside of each rim, with these very minor imperfections mentioned for the strictest accuracy.
