A member of the Oklahoma City Blazers for two seasons with additional time in the IHL and AHL, Hugh Harvey made his NHL debut for Kansas City in 1974-75 and saw action with the club in 18 total games spread over two seasons. This Scouts jersey is attributed to Harvey's use in 1975-76 (the Kingston native only wore the #22 in 1975-76). A rare find, Scouts jerseys with the original team crest are hard to come by due to the fact that when the team moved to Colorado for the 1976-77 season, the Rockies removed the team crests and used these jerseys without crests and also with Rockies crests during their training camp. Wilson (size 48) and Gunzo’s (River Forest ILL) labels are affixed to the collar, with an intact garter-style fight strap and “75 76” year swatch to the interior. Sporting the original intricately-embroidered tackle twill Scouts team crest, “22” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in layered tackle twill, and we should note that there is evidence that the reverse number was originally placed lower and slightly more to the right, with the white portion of the first number "2" made of a different and shinier material and not as wide as the second number "2". The first “2” also exhibits puckering, with additional puckering to each number within the interior on each reverse (additionally, we are unsure if Harvey wore the jersey with the current “22”, or before the numbers were moved). Exhibiting a few small stains to the team crest, the colouration on the garment remains bright, with a few dark marks over the left sleeve and number. There is also a long vertical team repair directly beneath the team crest, with a second repair on the lower reverse. A "letter of opinion" from Mears will accompany, and it mentions that the jersey was worn by Buster Harvey, an opinion we do not share.
