One of the youngest captains in NHL history at just 19, Gabriel Landeskog was drafted by Colorado 2nd overall in 2011, with a pair of gold medals also won representing Sweden at the World Championships. Originally sold in the Islanders’ Alumni Charity Auction held in 2019, this signed stick and gloves were used by Landeskog in 2018-19. A Bauer Vapor model in solid black with red and silver accents/identifiers, “Landeskog” factory graphics appear over the upper shaft, with a serial number and bar code placed on the underside. Sporting the original white tape job over the handle with handwritten “C”, and an handwritten "X" in silver paint pen below the knob, the blade tape has been removed to facilitate the attractive silver paint pen signature placed across the front side of the blade. Light game use is exhibited, with wear to the blade along the heel section, with a few minor marks/abrasions to the lower shaft. There is also a bit of blue paint transfer midway up the shaft. Warrior Alpha models in sold black with white accents, the gloves have “Landeskog” embroidered onto each wrist guard extension, with “2” handwritten in black marker within each interior. Each glove shows light use, with each signed in white near the base of each palm, with the signatures blending into the dark background material. An LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
