Tom Brady and the New England Patriots returned to the NFL summit in 2015 when they won the Super Bowl for the fourth time. The Patriots’ thrilling 28-24 win over the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLIX returned New England to the top after their previous two appearances in the big game ended in frustrating losses to the New York Giants. Brady tied Joe Montana’s record with his third Super Bowl MVP win, a mark he would break with his fourth SB MVP award in 2017. He placed a huge silver paint pen autograph on this spectacular Super Bowl XLIX, Super Bowl 4X Champions Wilson football with “8/10” limited-edition notation in gold paint pen and a Tri-Star hologram that displays number 7578197.
Brady’s autograph sits alone in the middle of an otherwise blank leather panel of the football. Tri-Star hologram is affixed directly below NFL commissioner Roger Goodell’s facsimile signature on the right side of the “The Duke” Wilson panel, which sits beneath the laces and has the silver and black Super Bowl XLIX logo in the middle. The Patriots logo and the logos of each of the first four Super Bowls won by New England are displayed in color on the “Super Bowls 4X Champions” panel, which also has the limited-edition notation.
