Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020

Some intermittent exceptions, with a dinged corner, but mostly appealing EX-MT, EX-MT+ and NM cards comprise this 1971-72 O-Pee-Chee set, with definitely some NM-MT and even MINT examples to uncover. The perfectly centered Guy Lafleur RC makes it to NM-MT in our eyes, with, unfortunately, some of the other keys off-centered, including the Ken Dryden rookie (otherwise EX-MT). With a diamond cut is the (unmarked) #111 checklist (o/w EX-MT) and 100-Orr (additionally miscut, o/w EX-MT). The Marcel Dionne RC (EX) and 264-2nd Series Checklist (unmarked EX) are of note, with the Howe and Beliveau cards at the end nice NMs. Team logo and booklet insert sets are swell complements, with more details/photos on our website.
The booklet set of 24, with white, white paper and a code on the back of each, is the Topps version, with VG-EX the average and off-centered examples dominating. The team crests set of 15 exhibits very little handling/wear, with the majority affected by almost-standard factory tick/prick marks, although most of them on the light/subtle side. Overall, neat stuff from a fun time in hockey card history.
