Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2020
A relationship that would last over half a century, Jean Beliveau first suited up for the fabled Montreal Canadiens in the early-1950s, and was named a Vice President and Director of Public Relations after retiring from the club, in 1971. Numerous titles would proceed, including Senior Vice-President and Ambassador. Hailing from his personal collection, we have a group of 247 signed Jean Beliveau Montreal Canadiens business cards, with three different versions. First, we have a group of 100 cards from Le Gros Bill’s days at the Forum (as Senior Vice-President), with these specimens all signed in black ink. This is followed by a group of 47 cards with the address for the “Centre Molson”, with each signed in Habs’ blue, followed by the final 100 cards, with each showing the logo for the Bell Centre, with each again signed in gorgeous Habs’ blue. The signatures display well, with some toning and handling wear present, especially to the earlier Forum cards (rubber band marks are visible). An LOA from the Beliveau family will accompany.
