Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
Playing in both the NHL and WHA and with his professional career concluding in 1979-80 with Quebec, Paul Stewart then began his lengthy tenure refereeing, officiating over 1,000 regular season games and 49 playoff contests. Originally gifted to Ray Bourque and hailing from his personal collection, we have a referee jersey signed by the United States Hockey Hall of Fame inductee. A label with “50” sizing is affixed to the collar, with an embroidered CCM crest over the reverse hem. Styled with an NHL shield crest over the left breast, “Stewart” appears over the nameplate in single white twill, with an Aug 5, 2001, date code sticker affixed to the CCM seam label. Stewart has signed in black marker within the left sleeve’s orange band, and the signature displays well. We should also note a few small and random stains present. A signed LOA from Ray Bourque will accompany. A portion of the sales from the Ray Bourque personal collection will benefit the Bourque Family Foundation.
