Originating from approximately a decade after the conclusion of the famed Original Six era, we have a mid-to-late-1970s jersey hailing from the Detroit Red Wings organization. Unknown if worn by the parent club and/or the AHL Adirondack Red Wings or CHL Kansas City Red Wings, the durene jersey sports Rawlings labeling affixed to the collar with “48” sizing, with “16” sewn to the sleeves and verso in single twill. There is evidence of a former smaller team crest (visible on the interior), as well as both evidence of a former nameplate as well as a name placed directly over the upper reverse, with no signs of changes to the numbers. The vintage garment shows heavy game-use, with numerous puck and stick marks over the front and burns over the sleeves, with material pulls as well as considerable pilling also visible.
