Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
A member of the Triple Gold club – securing gold medals at the Olympic Games and World Championships as well as winning the Stanley Cup, Peter Forsberg is fourth all-time for career assists-per-game, trailing only Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux and Bobby Orr. We have a signed stick used by the two-time Stanley Cup champion during the late-1990s. A model used very briefly by the legendary Swede in the late-1990s/early-2000s, the Sher-Wood PMP7000 stick has “Forseberg” and “21” stamped over the upper shaft, with a factory code along the lower underside, and “Colorado” partially visible beneath the striping accent. The original white tape over the blade, handle and knob is intact, with Forsberg adding a large black marker signature across the front side of the blade, with just minimal bleeding into the material. Exhibiting just very light use with a bit of wear to the underside of the blade, the stick remains in beautiful condition. Hailing from the personal collection of Ray Bourque, this stick will be accompanied by his signed LOA. A portion of the sales from the Ray Bourque personal collection will benefit the Bourque Family Foundation.
