Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019

Closing out his career with Modo in Sweden, Niklas Sundstrom spent eleven seasons in the NHL, appearing for San Jose, Montreal and the Rangers. We have a Canadiens “Vintage” jersey worn by the Örnsköldsvik native in 2003-04, in a match against the Leafs on Jan 24th. A label with “56” sizing is affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and CCM crests on the back bottom hem. Featuring the most recognizable team crest in hockey, the jersey has been embellished with tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Sundstrom” across the affixed nameplate in white single twill. Worn for a single contest, the jersey exhibits light wear, including just a few random marks. A MeiGray patch numbered “B10806” sits on the inside hem, and according to their population report, the jersey is a "Red Vintage Set 2 - Worn 1/24/04 vs. Toronto" example.
