Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
Close to one hundred old Parkies are up for grabs here, with 1953-54 and '54-55 examples accounting for most of them. The former group (of 35) includes some real low grade Maple Leafs, nine of them, including Tim Horton, with paper loss on the front, with however condition then improving somewhat with Canadiens and Rangers, the Hall of Fame lineup featuring 28-Moore (G) and 30-Lach & Richard (F), along with VG entries of 31-Lach, 32-Bouchard, 55-Max Bentley and 59-Rayner. Others, including a taped (P) Bathgate RC, are in the P-F-G range. Better are the group of '54-55s, with toning and light to moderate corner/edge wear spotted but not many creases and most in the VG to VG+ realm. There are duplicates of 14-Harvey, 29-Kennedy and 92-Lum Stops Howe, while wax stains are to note on the front of the 31-Horton card. With a "Lucky Premium" back is 2-Moore, while six of 12 others with similar "LP" backs have the names of the pictured players written on the back in pen, including 73-Camille Henry RC. Nineteen other cards from miscellaneous years are a grab bag of sorts, with a (VG) 22-Tim Horton from '57-58 the most notable. Mostly creased cards among the rest, with HOFers Bower, Mahovlich and Armstrong making appearances.
