Tinseltown “royalty” and three of the greatest players to ever wear the crown, we have a trio of sticks used by notable 1980s Los Angeles Kings members Marcel Dionne, Dave Taylor and Luke Robitaille. First, the Dionne is a Canadien 6001 fiberglass model from circa-1984, with “Dionne” over the upper shaft, along with the original white tape over the blade and handle. Showing especially heavy wear to the shaft and underside of the blade, “L.A. Kings 83-84” has been written across the front side in black marker, with Marcel also adding a signature and personalization over the mid-shaft. The stick remains solid, with some tape missing from the handle. Next, the Taylor is a Sher-Wood PMP 5030 model from the early-1980s, with “Taylor” stamped to the upper shaft, and the original white tape over the blade, handle and knob. The stick again shows heavy use, with wear to the shaft and blade, including rips to the tape, with no breaks, and the stick remaining solid. Lastly, the Robitaille is a Sher-Wood PMP 7000 from the early-1980s, with “Robitaille 20” on the shaft, with the original tape over the blade and handle. Great use is exhibited with wear to the blade and especially heavy wear to the shaft which includes surface chips and abrasions, with a crack to the mid-section.
