Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019

With his record of 11 Stanley Cup championships as a player never to be breached, Henri Richard served as Habs captain beginning in 1971 until his retirement in 1975, with his 1256 games the most for any Canadien in history. We have a Victoriaville Pro used by the superstar during the late-1960s/early-1970s. “16 H. Richard” is stamped on the shaft and the Pocket Rocket’s original black tape jobs remain on the handle and blade. Henri scored Cup winners in 1966 and again in 1971, when he tallied the tying and winning goals in Game 7 in Chicago. With the striping accents gone, the stick exhibits nice use from the greatest champion in NHL history, with a pair of small cracks visible that begin at the blade tip, along with marks and abrasions as well as red paint transfer over the lower shaft.
