Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
A rare opportunity, Classic Auctions is pleased to announce yet another partnership with the historic Montreal Canadiens franchise, one that will bring to auction a large and impressive bounty of jerseys fresh from the vast and seldom offered holdings of the storied hockey club. Examples are present from 2006-07 to 2014-15, with both important game-issued and game-worn jerseys offered, with a direct line from the actual player and the Canadiens franchise – to you, our loyal bidders. Each desirable jersey has inventory numbers from the Canadiens, with each to be accompanied by a letter of authenticity on Canadiens letterhead.
Hailing from the 2013-14 NHL season, we have Canadiens jerseys that were worn by Magnus Nygren (home-preseason) and Patrick Holland (away). Each jersey features size “56” tagging along the collar with handwritten “1”, with embroidered NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Styled with the most famous and recognizable team crest in hockey, both V-neck sweaters have been accented with tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with each respective player’s name across the nameplate in single twill. The Nygren jersey exhibits board burns over the lower right sleeve, while the Holland example has just a few small and random marks over the reverse. Team patches that sit on the inside hems are numbered “A05048” (Holland) and “A02925” (Nygren), while holograms affixed to the reverse numbers of each match the accompanying LOAs from the Canadiens.
