A two-time AL all-star, Johnny Damon saw action with seven different MLB clubs during his career, winning World Series championships with Boston and New York. Hailing from his second championship season in 2009, we have a pair of New York Yankees uniform pants that were worn by the Kansas native during the 2009 World Series, along with a nameplate that also saw use during the 2009 Fall Classic. In solid Yankees’ grey, the pants have a Majestic label as well as a date/size swatch of “18 Damon 34-42 26 OB 09” along the waistband, with great use exhibited, with large repaired/unrepaired holes along with heavy dirt staining over the right knee and buttocks. The 4 ½” x 16 ¾” nameplate feature’s multi-coloured graphics, with “Johnny Damon” centered, and “18” over the upper right along with a World Series logo and “2009” over the left. Holograms have been affixed to both items from the MLB and Steiner, with matching LOAs to accompany from the latter.
The nameplate shows wear from use with scratches and surface wear present, with the upper right corner broken off. There is also glue and tape residue over the reverse.
