Seeing use during the peak of his career in the mid-to-late-1960s when back-to-back Hart trophies were earned, we have a desirable “banana hook” stick used by HOF star Stan Mikita. According to our consignor, the stick was originally gifted to the Leafs’ Kent Douglas, with Mikita mentioning that this was one of the first sticks he curved, when he was experimenting with adding curvature to his blades. A Northland Custom Pro Glass Fused model, stamps from Hawks’ supplier Gunzo’s grace each side of the shaft, with the original black tape over the blade and white on the handle/knob. The stick shows light game use, with wear to the heel section along with a few puck marks, with some additional wear over the upper shaft. Despite lacking his name stamped, the stick exhibits all of the proper characteristics for a Stan Mikita gamer.
