Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2019
A silver medalist with Team USA at the 2010 Winter Olympics, David Backes would sing the Blues for 10 seasons in St Louis, captaining the squad from 2011-16. From his first season in Beantown in 2016-17, we have a signed Bruins "Hockey Fights Cancer" jersey that was worn by the Minneapolis native during the warm-up. A label with “56” sizing is affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with the famous spoked-B team crest in tackle twill, the violet V-neck has been accented with violet and white sleeve and verso numbers, with the Hockey Fights Cancer crest over the right breast. Worn in the warm-up, the jersey shows no discernible wear and remains in gorgeous condition. Backes has signed the reverse “4” in black marker, with no issues for the signature. An LOA from the Bruins Foundation will accompany.
